Effective May 10, all students, faculty, staff, contract staff, and others who are fully vaccinated will be exempt from further on-campus surveillance testing. To qualify for this exemption, please upload your vaccination record in the Vax LMU system; the process is quick and can be completed seamlessly from your phone, tablet, or computer. To be considered fully vaccinated, two weeks must have passed from the date of your second dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines or a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

LMU’s testing exemption is driven by new guidance for fully vaccinated individuals issued by the L.A. County Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the county’s low transmission rates, and the low case count and exposures on campus. The university will continue to actively monitor those factors and may reinstate testing requirements if public health guidance changes or if there is a significant surge in cases.
