LMU is Committed to Digital Accessibility

LMU is committed to our mission of digital equality and is dedicated to providing an excellent user experience for everyone. Our website is designed so people of all abilities can easily find the information they need.

Ongoing Efforts to Ensure Accessible Content

LMU uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 as its guiding principle. As we develop new pages and functionality, the principles of accessible design and development are an integral to conception and implementation.

Some legacy content and third-party applications may not fully meet accessibility standards, and we are actively working to address these areas.

We continually test content and features for WCAG 2.2 Level AA compliance and remediate any issues to ensure we meet or exceed the standards. We use a combination of automated and manual testing methods, including Siteimprove Accessibility auditor, screen readers, color contrast analysis, keyboard-only navigation testing, and ongoing manual review.

If you encounter a barrier, we will work with you to provide the information in an accessible format. LMU also provides a text-only version of its website content, available through Usablenet

Accessibility Practices

We incorporate accessibility best practices across our digital content and design, including navigational aids on every page. Skip navigation links have been incorporated to facilitate keyboard navigation and allow users to bypass groups of links and jump directly to main content areas.

Additional Support

LMU offers Disability Support Services (DSS), which work with all members of the LMU community to ensure equal access through accommodations for students with documented disabilities that may impact major life activities.
