What's New

California Releases Higher Education Guidelines

Earlier today, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) shared interim guidance and reopening protocols for higher education. By order of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LACDPH), LMU’s campuses remain closed with the exception of those with approved access. LMU has been working closely with state and local public health authorities since the start of the pandemic. In an effort to be prepared for a campus reopening as soon as it is permitted by LACDPH, LMU will refine our reopening plans given this guidance and expected issuance of protocol by the County Health Officer. CDPH has noted that reopening higher education campuses throughout the state in addition to restarting collegiate athletics will depend on local conditions including epidemiologic trends (such as new COVID-19 case and hospitalization rates remaining consistently stable or decreasing over at least 14 days), as well as several other factors. As soon as new information becomes available that impacts the reopening of our campuses, further information will be provided. Please visit LMU’s Reopening Website for further information and the latest updates.

Reminder: Face Coverings Mandatory While on Campus
Per county mandates, face coverings are required at all times for those approved to be on our campuses. The only exceptions include: those who are by themselves in their own private campus office or residence or while eating or drinking. For more information about acceptable face coverings, please visit LACDPH’s guidelines in English or Spanish.
