Matt Nelson

Matthew Nelson serves as a writer, researcher, and consultant for the Office of the Provost, assisting in the execution of the Provost’s goals and vision. Reporting to the Provost’s Chief of Staff, he contributes day-to-day communications support for the Office of the Provost, including developing, implementing, and/or assisting with communications for special projects, and lead on research, writing, and editing of proposals, publications, speeches, etc.

He supports major university initiatives and represents the Provost’s Office on cross‑campus projects. He leads key grant efforts, guiding research, idea development, writing, and coordination. He also partners with campus offices to strengthen faculty grant‑writing support and tracks trends in higher education to inform strategic planning.
