Study Abroad Semester Programs Outside Italy and Asia (Spring 2020)

Our Study Abroad programs outside Italy, Japan, and South Korea are currently running as scheduled. The LMU Study Abroad office and on-site program staff have been in communication with students to provide ongoing updates and have encouraged students to share these notices with their families.

Students enrolled in programs continuing to run as scheduled may decide to return home early. Programs have shared with participants next steps regarding academic planning if students do elect to leave, and LMU is prepared to work with students to navigate these options. Several programs have already outlined their plans for remote learning, as well. Students considering an early departure should be in contact with LMU Study Abroad and on-site staff.

A reminder to students abroad that LMU’s iSOS travel assistance is fully available 24/7 for any emergencies by calling +1 215-942-8478. For any health concerns, referral to medical care, mental health support, or travel-related emergencies, iSOS should be your first call for immediate assistance.

Please keep the following advisories in mind if you do decide to return home early:

LMU Travel Restrictions: All students, faculty, staff and campus guests who have returned or will return to the U.S. from countries with a Level 2 or Level 3 Travel Health Notice from the CDC are not permitted to return to campus for 14 days. Currently, this includes China (Level 3), Iran (Level 3), Italy (Level 3), South Korea (Level 3), and Japan (Level 2), subject to daily changes in CDC risk assessments. We recommend checking the CDC website for an updated list of Travel Health Notices.
