Interdisciplinary Applied Programs

Interdisciplinary Applied Programs (IDAP) addresses the interests of students seeking careers in public relations, marketing, advertising, broadcast journalism, digital/social media and event planning. While not currently a formal minor, IDAP is a set of elective courses that provide students with an understanding of these fields, so that they may begin to develop the creative and critical skills required to have successful careers after college.

IDAP classes provide students with opportunities to acquire skills in creative conceptualization, writing, presenting, technology and collaborative group work. Courses often involve high-profile guest speakers as well as working directly with local companies and non-profit organizations so students can get real-world experience in the careers they're interested in pursuing.

Note: IDAP is not a minor, but a group of professionalizing elective courses.
