LMU Hosts Conference of African Theatre Group

Hundreds of scholars from around the world came to Loyola Marymount University at the end of July to share insights about new movements in African theatre, as well as see new performances and hear practitioners discuss their work on stage.


LMU Among Top 10 in Community Service

Last year, students volunteered nearly 200,000 hours at numerous nonprofit organizations and schools in Los Angeles, including shelters, after-school programs, and legal aid clinics. The Princeton Review recently recognized LMU for its commitment to service.

Every July 31st, our LMU community gathers in Sacred Heart Chapel for the Feast of St. Ignatius, honoring the founder of the Jesuits and author of Spiritual Exercises. It’s a day for Lions to reflect on Ignatius of Loyola’s powerful quotes, such as "Act as if everything depended on you; trust as if everything depended on God.”
