ATHLETICS & RECREATION

In addition to LMU's athletics program, Campus Recreation promotes the education of the whole person by providing the LMU community with programs and services that develop an understanding of physical activity and exercise. We encourage a healthy lifestyle and lifelong interest in recreational activities.

The Burns Recreation Center offers personal training, swim lessons and more.

ACTIVITIES & SERVICE

There are over 140 active clubs and organizations and a Greek community with 15 local chapters. Our students volunteer more than 175,000 service hours a year with 350 community organizations.

Open Mic Night at The Living Room brings out the best talent on campus.

HEALTH & WELLNESS

The Student Health Center and Student Psychological Services are open to current students in an effort to make life on campus a safe and healthy experience. In addition to these services, the Fitwell Center offers nutritional guidance and personal fitness assessment.

Whether you're looking for an on-campus job as a student or need advice preparing for your career after graduation, Career Development Services is designed to help you succeed.

Career Development Services offers career counseling by appointment or drop-in.

Housing

Traditional Halls, Suites, Apartments and Theme and Living Learning Communities are home to the many students who live on campus. For those who chose to live off campus, The Off-Campus Student Life office helps students stay connected to campus life.

More than 3,200 students live in 19 residence halls and apartments on campus.

Contest Winners!!

Find out who the 2011 Student Housing Office CRIBS Contest Winners are!

The Student Housing Office is looking for rooms on campus that have been decorated by students with flair and creativity. You could win a chance to have your room videotaped and photographed by our university photographer. These videos and pictures will be used in many of LMU's professional publications and on the Student Housing website!

Contest rules and deadlines

The contest will open on Monday, October 10th. We have extended the contest deadline! Submissions for videos and pictures are now due Friday, October 28th. Enter your room into the contest for an opportunity to win movie tickets! The Grand Prize for the best room will be Target shopping spree, totaling $200 for you and your roommate to enjoy! If your room is selected as one of our winners, you and your roommates must be available for the LMU photographer and videographer to take pictures and a film for approximately 1 hour on a date and time to be determined.

Please be sure that in your pictures and video, there are no visible violations from the Community Standards and Student Housing Policies. Typical violations include but are not limited to candles, incense, and drilled holes in the wall. You should also keep in mind that the target audience is future LMU students and parents. Therefore, it is advised that you remain respectful in the presentation of your room.

How to apply

Email a brief description of who you are and how you decided to decorate your room, along with a short film clip or photos of your room to housing@lmu.edu. We are looking for great looking rooms that are creative, fun and reflective of your personalities. The deadline is Friday, October 28th. You may borrow a Flip Cam from the Student Housing Office to make a small film of your living space. If you have difficulty uploading your video to the LMU Cribs Application, or if the file is too large, you will need to upload it to a free video hosting site (www.youtube.com, www.wetransfer.com, www.ifile.it, etc.) and then email it to housing@lmu.edu. Remember, these are public forums so, use discretion when sharing personal information!

At this time you may submit your pictures online! Once you have logged into MyLMU, select "Student Housing Online Services", then "My Housing", and then "Forms" to access the online "LMU Cribs Application." Videos can only be submitted via email. You are also able to continue submitting both videos and pictures via email at housing@lmu.edu.
