Summer Services
OneCard
OneCards are required for all students living on campus. The LMU OneCard is your student ID card, the key to your room, your library card, and more. The OneCard can also be used to purchase time on laundry machines, products at the bookstore, and food at both on-campus facilities and select off-campus restaurants. Purchasing with S Dollars on your OneCard is tax-free. You can obtain your OneCard at the OneCard Office, located on the first floor of the Charles Von Der Ahe building. They can be reached at 310.338.2735.
Food Services
Food Service is provided by Sodexo Dining Services. There are a number of dining options that will be open during the summer. For specific operating hours and venues, please visit the
LMU Dining website.
Cable
All on-campus rooms have basic cable service, including HBO. Although residents must provide their own television and coaxial cable to access the system, the cost for cable TV is included in your room rate.
Mail
If you are a current resident on the LMU campus, your mail will be delivered to your assigned mailbox.
If you were not enrolled at LMU during the spring semester, your mail will be sent to the campus mail center, which is where you can pick up your mail every day. Your mailing address should look like this:

Laundry
OneCard operated laundry facilities are available for each building.
Computer Access
You can access the campus-wide network directly from your on-campus residence and from computer labs on campus. This means that you can access the campus-wide email system, LINUS (the on-line library catalog system) and the Internet any time you want. To connect your computer to the network, you will need to obtain a network card and cable that can be purchased from Information Services or most electronics vendors.
Gym
If you are a continuing LMU student, you will continue to have access to the Rec Center. If you are a new or visiting LMU student, there is a $60 fee for summer access to the services offered at the Rec Center, including the weight room, pool, basketball courts, and fitness classes. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 6AM-10PM, Friday from 6AM-8PM, Saturday from 8AM-6PM, and Sunday 10AM-6PM. For more information, contact the Burns Recreation Center at (310) 338-2912 or visit
www.lmu.edu/campusrec.
Parking
Parking is available at various locations on campus. All students must register their vehicles with Public Safety when they arrive.
Security
On-campus officers monitor the campus for signs of unusual or criminal activity by making around-the-clock patrols. Additionally, Resident Advisors are on duty in the Hannon apartments each night from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM for the entire summer. They are trained to be attentive and responsive and to contact Public Safety when needed.
What to Bring
While the apartments are fully furnished, a few additional items can help personalize your living space. You will need bed and bath linens, along with any personal toiletries. You may also wish to bring a computer, alarm clock, and coffee maker. Accessories and posters can make your room on campus feel more like your home away from home. You may want to consider bringing a sound system, TV, VCR, or DVD player. Of course, make sure you talk with your future roommate(s) to avoid bringing duplicate items. Due to safety concerns, halogen lamps are not permitted.
Release of Information
Residents wishing to restrict release of public information (i.e. name, room number, box number, and phone number) must contact the Office of the Registrar at (310) 338-2740 at least two weeks prior to the start of classes.
Insurance for Belongings
