Graduate Housing
There are a limited number of spaces available for graduate students in University housing. Housing is only available to LMU Westchester campus graduate students; we do not offer family housing. On-campus housing for graduate students is for the academic year.
Graduate students are assigned to the Leavey 4 Apartments. These apartments are two-bedroom, one-bathroom units and are designed to accommodate four students. If availability permits, a bedroom may be requested as a single for an additional cost. Please see the links below for more information and rates of the Leavey 4 Apartments.
Graduate housing is awarded to students on a first-come, first-served basis. Current graduate students have priority to graduate housing for the following year and are contacted by the Student Housing Office by the end of March regarding how to apply.
New graduate students must be admitted and accepted into a Graduate program before the housing application can be started. Once admitted and accepted, any graduate student new to LMU may start the application process, which will open by the end of March.
The Application Process
All graduate students wishing to live on-campus must complete the following 3 application materials:
- 1. Complete the online application: To access the online application navigate to MyLMU, click the "Systems Logins" drop-down, click on "Student Housing Online Services", click the "Apply" tab, and follow the instructions to the housing application. Continuing graduate students should select the “Continuing Student Process” while new graduate students should select the “New Student Process.”
- 2. Electronically acknowledge the License Agreement: Graduate students must also electronically acknowledge the terms and conditions of the License Agreement on the online application. The License Agreement is a legally binding contract that explains the policies and terms for living in University housing.
- 3. Pay the non-refundable $400 housing processing fee to the Student Accounts Office: This fee can be paid in person to the Student Accounts Office located on the second floor of the Charles Von Der Ahe building or online at their website.
Once all 3 application materials are completed and processed, graduate students are assigned to on-campus housing based on the latest date that the 3 application materials are completed. Please note that space is limited, so it is encouraged that the application materials be completed as soon as possible. Graduate students may also request placement with undergraduate students if the designated graduate housing apartments are full.
Summer Housing is also available on-campus, which provides graduate students with an opportunity for a year round living environment.
