Faculty & Staff


The college years mark an important period of personal and psychological growth that can be stressful for students.  On occasion, students may experience difficulty coping.  You, as a faculty or staff member, may be one of the first to become aware of personal difficulties affecting a student.  Whenever you feel a student's problem includes significant issues outside the academic realm, you are welcome to contact SPS for consultation.


Parents/Guardians


Students sometimes experience difficulties which complicate and undermine success in their academic and personal lives.  These challenges might include low self-esteem, procrastination, interpersonal conflicts, stress, anxiety, depression, issues in eating and body image, alcohol or substance concerns, identity issues, bereavement/loss, as well as problems with adjustment to college life.

SPS’s dedicated staff provides a variety of services to help students better understand and cope with their situations, achieve more satisfying relationships, improve academic performance, set personal goals and make effective and satisfying life choices.
