ATHLETICS & RECREATION

In addition to LMU's athletics program, Campus Recreation promotes the education of the whole person by providing the LMU community with programs and services that develop an understanding of physical activity and exercise. We encourage a healthy lifestyle and lifelong interest in recreational activities.

The Burns Recreation Center offers personal training, swim lessons and more.

ACTIVITIES & SERVICE

There are over 140 active clubs and organizations and a Greek community with 15 local chapters. Our students volunteer more than 175,000 service hours a year with 350 community organizations.

HEALTH & WELLNESS

The Student Health Center and Student Psychological Services are open to current students in an effort to make life on campus a safe and healthy experience. In addition to these services, the Fitwell Center offers nutritional guidance and personal fitness assessment.

Housing

Traditional Halls, Suites, Apartments and Theme and Living Learning Communities are home to the many students who live on campus. For those who chose to live off campus, The Off-Campus Student Life office helps students stay connected to campus life.

Office Hours

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Extended hours on Mondays and Wednesdays until 7 PM, during the academic year.

How To Make An Appointment

Students are seen by appointment only. To make an appointment, students can call Student Health Services (SHS) at 1-310-338-2881 or drop by the office. To make a same-day appointment , students are strongly advised to call before 9:00 AM.

No-Show Policy

SHS has a no-show policy. Students who fail to arrive for their scheduled appointment, or are 20 minutes late for an appointment, will be accessed a $25 fee. In addition, if a student is more than 10 minutes late for an appointment, they may be seen at the discretion of the clinician, or may be requested to rescheduled their appointment for another day.

To cancel or reschedule an appointment, one must provide SHS with two hours advanced notice. Students who wish to cancel an appointment prior to 8:00 am can call and leave a voice mail message. SHS will cancel the student's appointment when the office opens in the morning.

Graduate and Law School Students

SHS provides services to graduate and law school students who are enrolled in six units or more. A $50 per semester access fee is applied to the student's account, following the student's first semester visit. Note: this fee does not include the cost for x-rays, medicines, or laboratory fees.
