CAREER EXPLORATION

Career Counselors assist undergraduate, graduate students and alumni (in person or over the phone) over the course of the career development process with a variety of services and resources including major/career decision making, job searching strategies, interview skills, resume development, career/personality assessments, graduate school advising and much more.

LIONS FOR OTHERS

Lions for Learning is an off-campus program provided by Career Development Services aiming to increase the quality of learning for young minds. The program employs LMU student tutors to assist with in-class and after school programs at a variety of elementary and middle schools in and around the Westchester area.

CDS Returns Home

After an extended stay in University Hall, the Career Development Services Office has relocated back to Upper Campus. As of May 24th, 2011, CDS has moved to the Second Floor of Malone, Suite 201, providing a comprehensive array of services. CDS is available to assist all currently enrolled LMU students and graduated alumni in a wide array of career related services such as developing and critiquing your resumes and cover letters, exploring and identifying your personal and professional strengths and providing you with job search support.

Looking for an internship, work study job, or part-time work? CDS can connect you with a number of employers on and off-campus, who are seeking to hire LMU students. Student Employment Services is here to help with Student Employment hiring, paperwork, and timecards, as well as professional development trainings for work study students and their supervisors. Throughout the academic year, the Employer Services staff works to recruit many employers to LMU for On Campus Interviewing (OCI), information sessions, information tables, and career related events such as the annual career fair, education fair and graduate school fairs as well as a job fair for alumni.
