LMU Leadership Institute
The Leadership Institute is an initiative of the office of Student Leadership and Development that provides education, development and training to cultivate personal leadership in all students.
Chief among its programs is one composed of a series of three academic modules that focus on individual, group and community values respectively. This program is based on the Social Change Model of Leadership Development and includes a curricular, co-curricular and capstone experience.
The Leadership Institutes organizes monthly gatherings for student leaders on campus, brings in well-known speakers to engage with students leaders and serves as a depot for invaluable leadership resources and material.
Overall, the LMU Leadership Institute focuses on the development of students as leaders of themselves, their groups and their community. It's all about how you can make change happen.
All students who register for and complete the Institute will receive academic credit for the class, recognition at the end of the year for completing one of the modules of the LMU Leadership Institute and have the opportunity to meet other students interested in leadership & social justice.
