Checklist for Graduate International Students

Pay commitment deposit, if applicable. |

Register for Graduate Student Orientation (Fall Semester Only) and New International Student Orientation (Details coming soon). |
| 3. |
Submit SEVIS I-20 Request Form (Certificate of Eligibility for F-1, International Student Status) |
| 4. |
Submit Transfer Verification Form, if you have attended an institution in the United States prior to transferring to LMU. |
| 5. |
Obtain your visa and review your legal requirements. |
| 6. |
Meet the immunization and health insurance requirements. |
| 7. |
Check if you are eligible for Graduate Assistantship or Rains Research Assistantship (During most semesters, selected faculty hire undergraduate students to assist in academic research through Rains Academic Research Assistant funds. Selection of research assistants is done by the individual faculty members who have been awarded the funds by the university.) Inquire your department for any scholarship opporutnities. Please note that international students are not eligible for federal Work Study. |

Complete your housing request, if applicable. University does not provide housing for married students. |

Complete your Calculation of Charges Agreement and pay the tuition and fees by July 31st (for Fall Semester Admits only). Please click on wire transfer for detailed info. |

Create login ID and password for Mylmu (You will need your Student ID number). You can check your registration status and your account information via PROWL once you log in to Mylmu. |

Schedule your registration advisement appointment. To enroll in courses, you must contact your designated academic advisor (found on your acceptance letter). |

Contact OISS for passport/1-20 verification, upon entry to the U.S. |
| 13. |
Once you arrive on campus and you have registered for classes, get your OneCard . |
