CBL for Students
Students engage in actively addressing mutually defined community needs (as a collaboration between community partners, faculty and students) as a vehicle for achieving academic goals and course objectives. The local community becomes co-instructors in the process as course projects address the community’s needs. The CBL courses give students the ability to learn from each other, the agency’s staff members as well as the clients who are served at the non-profit agency. These CBL courses also include a structured time for students to reflect on their volunteer experience.
