Kilp and McKay Scholarships

These scholarships are awarded to the children and grandchildren of alumni of Loyola University, Marymount College or Loyola Marymount University. The direct descendants of alumni are very important to the University and the Alumni Association. We are proud of the large number of descendants of alumni who enroll at the University and want to encourage future matriculation.

These scholarships were named in honor of two outstanding individuals: Alfred J. Kilp, S.J. '30 was a loved Jesuit priest and alumnus who devoted most of his adult life in service to the University. Sister Raymunde McKay, RSHM is the former president of Marymount College. The Kilp and McKay Scholarships consider financial need and place a special emphasis on character and integrity. To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must submit a complete financial aid application to the LMU financial aid office. All awards range between $1000-$2,000 per recipient. The application process begins in March and is closed in the month of April.
