Life After LMU: Student & Alumni Networking Mixer
Program Description:
Life After LMU is designed to bring LMU students and LMU Alumni together to network and make meaningful connections between students and alumni. The event begins with an Alumni Panel followed by a student and alumni networking reception. Program participants have an opportunity to establish new relationships and have a better understanding of their major and the various career fields they can explore and develop professionally.
What is expected of Alumni Attendees:
During the networking reception share your stories, talk about yourself and what you do, how LMU impacted you, and ask questions of others. Bring your business cards and, IF you're comfortable, make yourself available during the weeks and months following the mixer. Your willingness to facilitate conversation and get to know the students will allow the students to learn from your experiences.
What is expected of Student Participants:
Students need to RSVP for the event by November 9, 2011 via the SAA website. Your willingness to interact with the alumni hosts could prove invaluable to you now, and later on in your life. Possible topics of conversation that you might initiate include: What is the most fulfilling aspect of your work?, What is the most important thing for me to focus on if I want to be successful?, What was the most fun thing you did while a student at LMU?, How do you remain connected to LMU as an alum? Please dress accordingly.
