About the Green Office Program
The LMU Green Office Program is designed to identify and recognize offices on campus that have implemented sustainable office programs which support daily operations and maintenance. The LMU Green Office Checklist is designed so that nearly all offices at LMU will have an equal chance of implementing programs and earning points. There are 7 categories and 36 points available: Alternative Transportation (5), Water Efficiency (5), Energy and Atmosphere (8), Materials and Recycling (7), Paper Printing/Photocopy (5), Indoor Environmental Quality (3), and Innovation in Design (3).
LMU Green Office Certification
Green Paw – Basic level of certification = 15 to 19 points
Silver Paw – Second level of certification = 20 to 24 points
Gold Paw – Third level of certification = 25 to 29 points
Platinum Paw – Highest level of certification = 30 to 36 points
All possible points have a value of (1).
*Note: We recognize that every office is unique and that some points may be harder to attain for a certain office, however, we trust that all offices who participate can receive certification.
