ECO Students:

ECO Students (Environmentally Conscious and Organized) was founded in the Fall of 2006 to promote sustainability across the LMU campus and form strategic partnerships between students, faculty and staff to raise awareness about the threats posed by global warming and climate change. The 2006 Bellarmine Forum was a key factor in mobilizing LMU students to take action in our personal lives and across our campus.
One of the first actions of ECO Students was successfully petitioning the university to pursue LEED certification for the new Hannon Library. Since then, the group has sponsored water bottle giveaways, a dorm energy competition and hosted Focus the Nation, a week-long series of events held on campuses nationwide to highlight environmental issues.
Join the ECO Students Facebook group and stay informed of environmental issues and events of interest to LMU students.

Sierra Club:
The mission of the LMU Sierra Club is to promote recreational activities as well as engage the LMU community in environmental awareness issues. We are an outdoors group as well as an advocate for the environment. We strive to explore, enjoy and protect the planet.
