"Community-based learning and immersion experiences increasingly provide the opportunity for student reflection on faith in action."

LMU outreach programs are sustained efforts in the greater Los Angeles community supported by LMU colleges, schools, centers and institutes. Many of LMU’s outreach resources are previewed here. These efforts are supported by thousands of hours volunteered by students, faculty and staff.

For more than 95 years, the university has dedicated itself to the support and development of organizations “beyond the bluff.”

It is in this tradition that LMU collectively contributes more than 175,000 hours of community service every year and contributes over 40 million dollars in outreach program support for the Southern California region and throughout the country and world.
