Mission Day 2013
Event date: Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at 12:15 PM
Location: Sacred Heart Chapel

Convo-Hour Keynote Speaker:
Mary Beth Ingham, C.S.J.

Sister Mary Beth Ingham needs little or no introduction to most of the campus community.  A long-time professor of philosophy and chair of the department, she left her faculty  position in 2011 to join the leadership council of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange; currently she also serves as an LMU trustee.  At the Bellarmine Forum roundtable during last year’s Mission Day, Sister Mary Beth impressed all who heard her with her insightful reflections on future directions for the University.  We anticipate that her 2012 Mission-Day talk will get specific about what is meant by the oft-invoked “Catholic intellectual tradition.”

Sculpture Garden Lunch | 1:00 p.m.

Multiple guided conversations | 1:35 and 3:30 p.m.

Upper Campus and University Hall (see RSVP form for location)

New to this year’s Mission Day will be an hour-long graduate student program starting at 6:00 p.m. in Ahmanson Auditorium (UH-1000). It will feature a video of the keynote address and a follow-up discussion session with Sister Ingham.  Light refreshments will be available afterwards.
