Alumni Authors Series – Spring 2012. The William H. Hannon Library is happy to celebrate some of our acclaimed literary alumnus. Each author will be here to discuss their newest works and share a few stories from their days at LMU. 6:00 - 7:30 PM, Von der Ahe Family Suite, Hannon Library, 1 LMU Drive, Los Angeles. Free to the public. Guests may enjoy exploring the Archives and Special Collections Gallery, on the 3rd floor of the William H. Hannon Library, prior to the event. He received his B.A. at LMU, his M.A. at Loyola University, Chicago; and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Drama Studies from the National University of Ireland and University College Dublin. Younger leads workshops in play writing and teaches courses in modern and contemporary drama, Irish drama, classical drama in translation, performance studies, and theory. His book Irish Adaptations of Greek Tragedies: Dionysus in Ireland appeared in 2001. In addition to his teaching at LMU, Younger is also an award-winning playwright with work staged off-Broadway, in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, throughout the Midwest and South, as well as in Canada, England, and Ireland. Younger is a member of the Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA Playwrights Unit, the Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights, The Dramatists Guild of America, and is a voting member for the LA Stage Alliance Ovation Awards.
