Please fill in the form below to submit a proposal for consideration at IISSAM 2012 (or follow the link below if your browser does not display the form).
Please provide careful responses to all questions. Be as concise and precise as possible. Your proposal will be read by a group of scholars who may or may not be in your field - avoid jargon as much as possible and explain necessary technical terms. The review process is blind. You will receive feedback from the reviewers. The clearer your proposal the more targeted and helpful feedback can be. Please limit the overall length of your proposal to 750-1250 words. Make sure your answers to the five questions summarize everything that is relevant and important to your proposal.
All accepted projects will be mentored at IISSAM 2012. Scholars whose proposal is accepted will be matched with a mentor in a small mentor group - each of these scholars will give a presentation at IISSAM 2012, receive feedback from the mentor, group, and other participants, and will also provide feedback to other scholar in the same mentor group.

Submissions will close on January 30, 2012 extended to: February 13, 2012 (submission form closes midnight PST). Notifications for accepted projects are anticipated by March 16, 2012. If your proposal is accepted you will have to commit to attending by March 30, 2012. At that point, if you decide to attend IISSAM as a mentored scholar (as we hope you do), you will have to provide an abstract that, along with your name and title, will be included in the program and posted online. Scholars are responsible for their own travel arrangements, accommodation, and registration. By submitting your project to IISSAM 2012, you agree to having your project distributed and reviewed anonymously; you also declare that your submitted project is of your authorship, does not infringe any copyrights or other rights, and any collaborators you may have do not object to your project being considered at IISSAM.
