Chris is the Executive Director of The HUMANITAS Prize, responsible for the overall management of one of writings most prestigious awards. He was honored with a 2004 Emmy Award for Best Documentary, for Be Good, Smile Pretty. The film also received the Jury Prize for Best Documentary at the 2003 IFP Los Angeles Independent Film Festival. His most recent feature film, Straight Right, premiered at the 2000 Los Angeles International Film Festival. In 1998, he was honored with an Academy Award for the Best Live Action Short Film, Visas and Virtue. He is an active member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences serving on the short film selection committee. He also serves on the Emerging Producers Outreach Committee for the Producers Guild of America.
