Julio Arambula

Message from the President

April 26, 2010

Dear LMU Community:

I am deeply saddened to inform you of the death of Julio Arambula, a desktop technician with Information Technology Services. Julio was 32 and had been battling cancer for the last few years. He passed away Thursday evening.

Julio joined Loyola Marymount University in May 2007 and his time with us was marked by his positive attitude and willingness to go to great lengths to solve a problem or help someone. He impressed his colleagues by continuing to work through his treatments while remaining upbeat.

Our deepest condolences go to his wife, Denise; his mother and father, Maria and Jose; his brothers, Rodrigo and Alex; and his sister, Erika. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Julio’s family, in care of: Alex Arambula, 4879 134th Place, Hawthorne, CA 90250.

There will be a ceremony in remembrance of Julio on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, in the McIntosh Center in University Hall for Julio’s LMU friends to celebrate his life. A viewing will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City on Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m., with the funeral on Friday, April 30 at 1 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Please keep the Arambula family in your thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

David W. Burcham
Acting President
