LMU to Join Westchester Community in July 4 Parade
“The Lion Sleeps Tonight” will be the theme of Loyola Marymount University’s 4th of July float entry at the annual Westchester on Parade. The celebration will take place on Loyola Blvd. at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 4.
LMU will be among the many participants that will show their American pride by being a part of the annual event organized by the LAX Coastal Area Chamber of Commerce.
“We are proud to support the chamber in this great community event,” said Clarence Griffin, director of community and government relations at LMU.
Alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends are collaborating to create a fun float and choreography. Children who would like to volunteer to be a part of entry are welcome to meet at 10 a.m. in LMU’s Hannon Parking Lot (corner of 80th Street and Loyola Blvd.) for rehearsal.
