Career Development Services: The Lion Connection

Anyone who has had an internship knows the value that it can add to students who are launching their careers. LMU’s Career Development Services (CDS) is a central resource on campus that connects employers to driven and talented lions.  

The CDS works with all employers to customize strategies that will pair them with the perfect LMU candidate to meet their needs. John Carvana, executive director of CDS, says that his team is focused on developing long-term relationships with businesses in the region. Whether it is an internship, part time or full time opportunities, CDS provides ongoing support for employers.

Additionally, CDS organizes year-round career fairs and information sessions where employers can recruit candidates. Approximately 400 students and 60 companies attended the fair in spring. The next job fair will take place in early fall.

The CDS LionJobs database is also available as a free, self-serve tool for businesses that want to post job listings.
