LMU Alumna and Fulbright Program Officer Addressed LMU Faculty

Athena Fulay, Program Officer for Outreach at the Council for International Exchange of Scholars, and an LMU alumna, presented on Fulbright programs to the LMU community Monday, March 23, 2009. Glenn Gebhard, faculty in the Production Film & Television Department at LMU, and a former Fulbright scholar, also presented and answered questions on his experience in Germany.

"It was a great joy having Athena facilitate our Fulbright workshop at Loyola Marymount University, and even more delightful when we found out that she is an alumna of LMU," said John Carfora, Executive Director of the Office for Research and Sponsored Projects.  "Going forward, we are hoping to have program officers from a wide range of agencies and programs come to LMU to address faculty and staff."

Fulbright deadlines are August 1 for the 2010-2011 academic year. Faculty and staff who are interested in pursuing a Fulbright can learn more at the Fulbright website: http://www.fulbrightonline.org/, or can contact Cynthia Carr for more information.
