On July 26-27th (2010), the Government-University-Industry Research Roundtable (GUIRR) at the National Academy of Sciences brought together subject matter experts – from universities, industry, government, and professional organizations in the USA and other nations – to (1) explore and discuss international research collaborations; (2) publish a record of proceedings and a meaningful primer (book) for distribution to interested persons in the various sectors; (3) develop web-based resources on international collaborations, and (4) convene future conferences and workshops in the areas of international research collaborations.
