Post Award
Once you have been awarded, it is important to notify the Office for Research and Sponsored Projects. Send the ORSP staff member you worked with a copy of your award letter so that a set-up meeting can be scheduled with the
Post Award Administration and Accounting (PAAA) Office. PAAA will guide you through the administration of your award.
Compliance
Be aware of the terms of your award, and fulfill them. You must comply with both the funder's expectations, which should correlate with your proposal, and with requirements of the University. For example, if you have a federal award, you will be required to perform effort reporting. You will be expected to follow your budget, however, you may be allowed to modify budget lines. Ask ORSP staff about these issues.
Reporting
All grants require reporting, at least annually. Reporting will include a financial breakdown, which details how money was spent, as well as a narrative that describes the activities and when and how benchmarks were attained. PAAA will assist you with the fiscal aspects of your report, and the ORSP can provide advice on your report narrative, if requested. Both offices should receive final copies of any reports you file.
