Sabbatical Fellowships in the Humanities and Social Sciences
Since 1998, the American Philosophical Society has administered the SABBATICAL FELLOWSHIP IN THE HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES designed to supplement an awarded sabbatical/research leave. The APS has assisted thousands of scholars in the past and encourages all eligible current candidates to apply for our grants and fellowships.

Stanford Humanities Fellowships
Since its inception in 1980, the Humanities Center has offered External Faculty Fellowships to all ranks of the professoriate and from a wide variety of disciplinary fields. Fellowships are awarded to support research projects in the humanities; creative arts projects are not eligible. The Humanities Center seeks candidates whose research is likely to contribute to intellectual exchange among a diverse group of scholars within the disciplines of the humanities.

American Antiquarian Society
Long-Term and Short-Term Fellowships
The American Antiquarian Society offers a number of categories of visiting research fellowships, with tenures ranging from one to twelve months. All of the fellowships are designed to enable scholars, advanced graduate students, and others to spend an uninterrupted block of time doing research in the AAS library on their projects and discussing their work with others.

Senior Associate Member Fellowships
The American School of Classical Studies at Athens, founded in 1881, is the principal resource in Greece for American scholars conducting advanced research on the language, literature, art, history, archaeology, and philosophy of Greece and the Greek world from pre-Hellenic times to the present. Acceptance to Membership at the School is a prerequisite for scholars wishing to make use of its facilities.

East European Studies Short-Term Grants
Founded in 1968, the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars aim to unite the world of ideas to the world of policy by supporting pre-eminent scholarship and linking it to issues of concern to officials in Washington. SHORT-TERM GRANTS are offered to scholars working on policy relevant projects on East Europe. Projects should focus on fields in the social sciences and humanities including, but not limited to: Anthropology, History, Political Science, Slavic Languages and Literatures, and Sociology.

Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars
Fellowships @ the Wilson Center 2008-2009
WOODROW WILSON FELLOWSHIPS, available in Washington D.C., aim to unite the world of ideas to the world of policy by supporting pre-eminent scholarship and linking it to issues of concern to government officials. The Center awards approximately 20-25 residential fellowships annually to individuals with outstanding project proposals in a broad range of the social sciences and humanities on national and/or international issues. Projects should involve fresh research in terms of both the over all field and the author’s previous work. It is essential that projects have relevance to the world of public policy.
