COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH GRANTS support full-time or part-time activities for periods of one to three years. Support is available for various combinations of scholars, consultants, and research assistants; project-related travel; field work; applications of information technology; and technical support and services.

NEH Summer Stipend
NEH SUMMER STIPENDS support individuals pursuing advanced research that contributes to scholarly knowledge or to the public's understanding of the humanities. Recipients are supported to produce scholarly articles, monographs on specialized subjects, books on broad topics, archaeological site reports, translations, editions, or other scholarly tools. LMU may nominate only two faculty members, once nominated applicants submit online.

The Big Read is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services designed to revitalize the role of literature in American culture and bring the transformative power of literature into the lives of its citizens. Stanford Humanities Fellowships
Since its inception in 1980, the Humanities Center has offered External Faculty Fellowships to all ranks of the professoriate and from a wide variety of disciplinary fields. Fellowships are awarded to support research projects in the humanities; creative arts projects are not eligible. The Humanities Center seeks candidates whose research is likely to contribute to intellectual exchange among a diverse group of scholars within the disciplines of the humanities.

Choate, Hall and Stewart
Amy Lowell Poetry Traveling Scholarship
The American poet Amy Lowell died in 1925. Her will established an annual scholarship to support travel abroad for gifted American-born poets. The scholarship is administered by the trustees under her will at the law firm of Choate, Hall & Stewart in Boston, Massachusetts.

Shorter grant lengths give Specialists greater flexibility to pursue a grant that works best with their current academic or professional commitments.
