Schomburg Center For Research In Black Culture
Scholars-in-Residence Program Fellowship 2007-2008
Established in 1972, The Schomburg Center promotes the study of the histories and cultures of peoples of African descent and interprets its collections through exhibitions, publications, and educational, scholarly and cultural programs. The SCHOLARS-IN-RESIDENCY FELLOWSHIP program assists scholars and professionals whose research on the black experience can benefit from extended access to the Center's resources. Fellowships will allow recipients to spend six months or a year in residence in New York City with access to resources at the Schomburg Center and other research units of The New York Public Library.
