A Message from the Associate Vice President
for Research Advancement and Compliance
Loyola Marymount University is a source of excellence in research, scholarship, and creative activity. Through research, our faculty, staff and students create new knowledge and pursue scholarship that deepens and extends our understanding of the world around us and further helps us address issues of local, national and global significance.
At LMU we understand that research and teaching are complementary. Indeed, meaningful research is a scholarly activity that places LMU faculty at the forefront of their fields, enhances the instructional experiences they offer their students, and helps make the higher learning environment all the more exciting. By collaborating with faculty, students develop valuable hands-on skills and bring together indispensable firsthand experiences to the challenge and excitement of discovery and creation.
This site presents faculty, staff and student scholarship, and identifies resources available to assist them in their research, scholarly and creative activities. It is my hope that it offers tools to further inspired and imaginative endeavors, and provides an opportunity for newcomers to immediately enjoy the support LMU can lend to their creative scholarship as they experience these and other exciting aspects of Loyola Marymount University.
