A Message from the Vice President for Research

Loyola Marymount University is a source of excellence in scholarship, research and creative activity. Through research, our faculty, staff and students create the new knowledge that deepens our understanding of the world around us and helps us address issues of global and local significance.

At LMU, we understand that teaching and research go hand in hand. Engaging in research and scholarly activity places faculty at the forefront of their fields, enhancing the instructional experiences they offer to their students. By collaborating with faculty, students develop hands-on skills and firsthand experience in the challenge and excitement of discovery and creation.

This site presents faculty, staff and student scholarship throughout the University and identifies resources available to assist them in their research and scholarly work. It is my hope that it will offer tools for further creative endeavor and an opportunity for newcomers to experience these exciting aspects of LMU.
