United in Purpose: The Marymount Mission

The Marymount Institute preserves the transformative educational tradition of the RSHM and promotes a dialogue between faith and culture as expressed in the fine, performing, literary and communication arts. The Institute fosters an awareness of the cultural richness expressed in the art of ethnic and religious groups, and encourages interdisciplinary dialogue. The Institute strengthens the contributions of the Marymount tradition and legacy to the Loyola Marymount University community and the larger society. It does this by encouraging interdisciplinary and intercultural scholarly and artistic activity in the form of research, publication, exhibits, performances, conferences, seminars and lectures.
