Andreas Kidane

Andreas Kidane is currently an undergraduate Political Science student
at Loyola Marymount University and has been a student research assistant with
the Leavey Center since 2008. After taking part in the Exit Polls of
the 2008 Presidential Primary and National Elections in the City of Los
Angeles, Andreas continues to work with the LCSLA on a number of
ongoing projects, including The Leadership Initiative.
Of Eritrean and Iranian heritage, Andreas takes a particular interest
in international relations and is planning on studying international
law after his undergraduate studies. After spending many years of his
life in Eritrea, Andreas now returns to his country yearly, spending a
part of 2008 as an intern at the Eritrean Ministry of Energy and Mines.
Andreas is also President of Loyola Marymount University’s
international student organization, Pangaea; a member of the Los
Angeles Chapter of the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students; and a
student worker at the Loyola Marymount University Office for
International Students and Scholars.
