Cynthia Benavides

Research Assistant II

Cynthia Benavides is LCSLA’s Research Assistant II. She completed her B.A. in Political Science at Loyola Marymount University and joined the Center’s student research team in 2005 after participating in the Center’s 2005 Mayoral Primary Election Exit Poll. She continued to work on with LCSLA on its projects as a project coordinator and research assistant after graduation. Cynthia continued in the research field working for the Research and Evaluation Branch at the Los Angeles Unified School District prior to joining the Center in an official staff capacity in 2008. She has since been promoted to her current position. Cynthia is interested in the fields of education, public policy, and law and would like to further her education in these fields.
