LMU SOLIDARITY

Contact: Campus Ministry
Patrick Furlong, x85390, pfurlong@lmu.edu

Activity: Campus Ministry is starting SOLIDARITY, a local chapter of the Ignatian Solidarity Network, a national social justice network inspired by the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola. LMU Solidarity promotes advocacy and social justice leadership for LMU students who want to better understand just what “the service of faith and the promotion of justice” is all about.

The way you vote, how you choose to live your life, the way you advocate on behalf of the marginalized both here and abroad has an incredible impact beyond our world here on campus. University students have opportunities to influence hearts and challenge mindsets. This is your privilege, and your burden.

LMU Solidarity is a program for advocates that see no separation between faith and justice in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Students will have an opportunity to not only talk about the social justice issues facing the Church and her people, but also create programs that will advocate for a world more just and compassionate.

If you’re looking to talk about Catholic Social Teaching, the major social justice issues of our time, and then create programs on campus to educate fellow students and staff, we hope you’ll join us. Please contact Patrick Furlong at pfurlong@lmu.edu for more information about how to get involved in this program!
