ISN continues the tradition of convening the Ignatian family to honor the life of the Salvadoran Martyrs and respond to the justice issues of our day. Convened every year, ISN invites the Ignatian family to attend a three-day learning experience to dialogue and strategize about ways to confront issues of injustice, poverty, and oppression both nationally and internationally. The first two days are spent in training sessions for advocacy and special justice speakers such as Fr. Orobator, S.J, Provincial of East Africa for the Society of Jesus or Governor O’Malley, Governor of Maryland. Then Monday is a day of advocacy on Capitol Hill.
The students will gain skills in advocacy and knowledge on social justice topics such as immigration, Fair Trade, Labor & Corporate Responsibility, Environment, Domestic Poverty, Militarization, and Peacemaking & Foreign Policy.
Solidarity, Jesuit, Justice, Advocacy
Each day will open and close with prayer as well as offering a liturgy on Sunday.
