Faculty-Staff Retreat

Loyola Marymount University and Loyola Law School
A Weekend Retreat for Faculty and Staff
Bishop Gordon Bennett, SJ
February 13 – 15, 2009

 "Learning from Jesus the Teacher."

Director: Bishop Gordon Bennett, SJ, the Peter Faber, SJ Fellow in Pastoral Theology and Ignatian Spirituality.

Bishop Bennett will present parables of Jesus as a means for reflecting and praying about our personal and professional lives.

The retreat will be held at the
Mary and Joseph Retreat Center
in Palos Verdes, with its beautiful grounds and access to walks with views of the Pacific. Rooms are double, with bath, but individuals will have their own rooms unless they wish to share with someone they know. The meeting room is generally “conversation-free” so that those making the retreat can experience the luxury of time for themselves.

F
r. Randy Roche, SJ, director of the Center for Ignatian Spirituality, and Sr. Frances Gussenhoven, RSHM, assistant director, will help Bishop Bennett with the weekend program.

This retreat is funded by LMU, without cost to faculty and staff. Spouses or partners are welcome. Due to the limited number of rooms available at the Retreat Center, LMU and LLS faculty and staff who have not previously had the opportunity of participating on the annual retreat will be given priority if requests exceed the existing space.

To register for the retreat, please call 338-1806 or send an email to ignacio@lmu.edu. We will contact you in early February to confirm your reservation and to provide further details.
