The Center for Ignatian Spirituality

The Center for Ignatian Spirituality is primarily an experiential resource for LMU faculty and staff, especially through the process of discernment so characteristic of Ignatian spirituality: reflection upon lived experience. Careful decision-making leads to growth in cooperation, community, and justice in personal relationships.

To advance these goals, the center provides the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius in a format suitable for busy faculty and staff, and a weekend retreat within the greater Los Angeles area. The center offers a variety of events in which presenters share their knowledge and personal experience on topics related to spirituality, often within the context of a complimentary luncheon. The Center's website includes not only the weekly spirituality essay under "Features," but a collection of Ignatian spirituality essays on discernment and decision-making . The staff of the center send occasional printed "gifts" to faculty and staff, intended as occasions for reflection and inspiration.
