Heads UP is a campus-wide responsible drinking project at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. The mission of the project is to promote a safe and healthy lifestyle among all students and to intervene with high-risk students (freshmen students and students sanctioned by Judicial Affairs for drinking-related violations) to reduce dangerous levels of drinking and the incidence of problems resulting from heavy consumption.
The Heads UP project also seeks to change the campus culture with respect to drinking by involving all freshmen, student leaders, faculty, staff, and parents in a comprehensive alcohol awareness and prevention program. Heads UP sponsors multiple campus events each month and is a source of alcohol information for students and other members of the campus community.
