Developing the next generation of socially responsible citizens and leaders
Campaign Goal: $1.5 million
- Provide continued support of innovative programs such as Alternative Breaks - $1.25 million
- Empower student-driven leadership initiatives - $250,000
At LMU, the Center for Service and Action (CSA) plays a vital role in educating our students as men and women for others. They offer numerous activities for students to engage with disadvantaged and oppressed members of our society.
Programs such as the CSA’s Alternative Breaks oftentimes create life-changing experiences for students when they immerse in a new culture and are exposed to the vast social injustices around the world. Students learn about homelessness, hunger and child labor in their courses, but at the center they turn their knowledge into action to ultimately create a better world.
