What is the Casassa Legacy Society? The Casassa Legacy Society is a prestigious group of individuals who strengthen and shape Loyola Marymount University for generations to come.
Father Casassa
The Casassa Legacy Society is named after the 10th president of then Loyola University of Los Angeles, Charles S. Casassa, S.J. Father Casassa served as the president during a period of unparalleled growth, from 1949 to 1969. Under his leadership, the university experienced significant development, including the merger of Loyola University and Marymount College in 1973.
Established in 1966
The Casassa Legacy Society recognizes alumni and friends of the university who have designed a gift either in their estate plans or through one of our life income arrangements. Through this generous support, the university is strengthened for years to come. If you have included LMU in your testamentary plans or are interested in establishing a planned gift, you are invited to join the Casassa Legacy Society.

"I have been an educator for more than 35 years. I still look upon education as a remarkable apostolate, if one has the patience to take the long view. I realize more and more how much influence we have through education – not only with colleagues, students and alumni, but within the larger community as well. Education might not provide instant relief, but it can and does provide long-term power for transforming the world.”
- Charles S. Casassa, S.J.
