What is the Phonathon program?
Phonathon is a student-driven fundraising program based out of LMU’s University Relations Annual Giving Department, inside University Hall’s 2800 block. LMU students have served as the “voice” of Loyola Marymount University in their attempts to keep alumni, family, and friends of the university up to date with all things Lion, and to raise money for the university’s various needs.

The Phonathon team strives to keep LMU vibrantly alive in those who are not located here on campus. Phonathon callers also fundraise for the school. Our fundraising efforts are directed towards various programs of the University, including LMU’s umbrella fund, The Fund for LMU; our sports fund, LionsFund; or our family-oriented fund, The Parents Fund; just to name a few.

Why does the Phonathon call LMU Alumni, Parents, and Friends?
We call alumni, family, and friends of the school to hold cheerful and informative conversations and to further strengthen for the individual their bond with LMU. Phonathon takes great pride in knowing that we are involved in an amazing effort to make our school an even more prestigious and developed institution, and we hope that you too can realize the power of pride, prestige, and payments in any way, shape, or form.

Why should I give to The Fund for LMU through Phonathon?
First, our students love talking to you, our alumni!  And LMU has been the beneficiary of great generosity by alumni, parents and friends.  However, LMU's mission of educating the whole person cannot be achieved through tuition dollars alone.  For this reason, LMU must look to alumni, parents and friends for support to meet challenges and take advantage of future opportunities.
