Daniella Eslamboly
Senior Daniella Eslamboly's love for travel and politics led her to scholarships that have expanded her knowledge of world affairs. As the daughter of an alumna, Daniella admits to being influenced by her mother when considering LMU, but discovered for herself what makes this school special.

“What attracted me most to LMU was the community," says Daniella. "I loved the idea of actually getting to know fellow students and professors in a way that I would not have been able to at other universities. At LMU, I’m not just a number.”

Not only is Daniella not a number, but she has become a leader: president of the Mock Trial Team, vice president of LMU Hillel, president of the Student Alumni Association and vice president of LMU College Democrats.

FREEDOM TO PARTICIPATE
Daniella was awarded the Alfred J. Kilp, S.J., Scholarship, financial assistance designed specifically for children and grandchildren of LMU alumni.

“I am grateful to all of the donors," she says. "A scholarship means I spend less time worrying about loans and have more time to focus on my studies."

Last year, Daniella earned the Hansard Fellowship from LMU’s Institute for Leadership Studies. The award allowed her to study at the London School of Economics and Political Science and intern with a member of Parliament during the spring semester.

CAREER WITHOUT BORDERS
With the Fellowship, Daniella's career path has changed from becoming a district attorney to practicing international law.

"The fact that people can give back inspires me to give," she says. "I love my school. I don't want tuition to be a reason for anyone not to come to LMU."
