The inaugural class of 15 inductees, nominated by alumni and active and retired faculty members, was selected during LMU’s 2011-2012 Centennial Year.  Nominees were required to the meet the following criteria:

  • Living nominee must have retired as full-time faculty members at least five years prior to nomination.
  • Deceased faculty members are eligible regardless of whether they retired from LMU.
  • All nominees must have taught full-time at LMU for at least 10 years.

After collecting more than 200 nominations representing more than 100 nominees, the committee selected the inaugural class and presented it to President David W. Burcham who approved all inductees.

Future nominees will be solicited every other year by a university committee, comprising of senior faculty members and alumni. Each subsequent class of inductees will consist of approximately seven faculty members who meet the same criteria as did the original inductees.

Nominations are currently being accepted through midnight, Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014. Click here to nominate a faculty member.
