David L. Boren/NSEP Undergraduate Scholarship

Purpose: to develop Americans into global leaders with superior understanding of unfamiliar languages and cultures
Amount: up to $10,000 per semester; minimum $2,500 per summer, $4,000 per semester, or $6,000 per academic year
Location: "Non-traditional" destinations (excludes certain countries)
Eligibility: Freshman or sophomore (summer, semester, and full year programs); junior or senior (only semester and full year programs)

Barry Goldwater Scholarship

Purpose:
to provide a continuing source of highly-qualified individuals to the
fields of science, mathematics, and engineering by enabling them to
succeed academically
Amount:
up to $7,500 annually to cover eligible educational expenses over 2
years for junior-level recipients and 1 year for senior-level recipients
Location: Varies
Eligibility: Sophomore or junior; intention to pursue a career in mathematics, the natural sciences, or engineering

Thomas R. Pickering Undergrad. Foreign Affairs Scholarship
Deadline: February
Purpose:
to provide funding to participants as they prepare academically and
professionally to enter the United States Department of State Foreign
Service
Amount: award covers
tuition, room, board, and mandatory fees for junior and senior years
and for first year of graduate study; limited reimbursement for books
and travel also included
Location: Varies; within the United States; graduate study to be pursued at an eligible institution

Morris K. Udall Scholarship

Purpose: to encourage students with outstanding potential who study the environment and related fields
Amount: $5,000 (scholar) or $500 (honorable mention)
