Parking Information for LMU Extension Classes - New policies beginning in February 2012

Public Safety is implementing new policies and procedures regarding parking at LMU, and it is going to affect LMU Extension students. LMU Extension parking permits are no longer valid, and if you park on campus, your current LMU Extension parking permit will not be recognized, and you will be issued a citation. If you do receive one, please take it to the Public Safety office which is located in the Foley Annex Building (FAN), and you will be issued a [free] Commuter Parking Permit. Or, please visit the Public Safety office before receiving a citation. If you do not have an LMU Extension parking permit, please visit the information booth at the corner of Lincoln Blvd. and LMU Drive, and ask for a one-day permit.

The Public Safety office hours are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

The following items are needed from you, by the Public Safety Office to receive a commuter permit:

1. Your student ID number
2. Proof of your automobile registration, OR a photo of your license plate.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please call LMU Extension if you have questions at 310.338.1971

These rules do not apply after 6:00 PM, M-F, and on weekends. No citations will be issued at those times.

Parking Lots on Campus

LMU Extension students holding a commuter parking permit (see above for new policies as of Spring 2012) can park in any student lot including: University Hall P2/P3, Drollinger (L-Lot), Seaver (D-Lot), Hannon (A-Lot). The officer at the information booth can supply a map of all these parking locations.
Please allow a half hour to find parking for daytime classes M-F before 4:00 PM.

Parking Recommendations

Check with the info booth at entrance to campus to obtain map and parking info.

Handicap Parking

Students with vehicles displaying a state-issued DMV handicap placard may park in any designated handicap space on campus, without any time restrictions (but also must have a commuter permit for classes Mon.-Fri. before 6:00). In University Hall, the only designated handicap spots are on P1.

To request access to handicap spaces within gated lots, push the button next to the card-swipe at the lot entrance.
